  • I have to echo a lot of what has been shared and celebrated by Danielle B below. We also had a rough start with our first daycare; I was prepared to quit my job after the resulting loss of trust and confidence. I was almost mean when I was asking difficult questions about how things are run at this center before enrolling. Matthew and Kathryn were super professional and tackled all those questions super well while never losing sight of the fact that our child was at the heart of it all. That was what convinced me and now all I had to do was convince Daddy; one quick meeting and tour with Matthew had him convinced as well and we were quickly enrolled. Your center renewed our faith and trust in child care and I thank you very much for that. Scott was allowed to follow his own sleep schedule which I honestly think is so important for the infant age group. He wasn't forced into a one nap schedule; he was in charge of himself and it formed such a healthy relationship with his naps and sleep. I often affectionately referred to Tanya as the nap whisperer which chatting with friends and family. I would check in on the web camera and see him skip along into the crib room while holding her hand - absolutely the best thing to see as a parent. That said, he happily jumped into any of the ECE's arms but he seems to have a special connection with Tanya and Sadaf. We recommend your care to anyone that is looking for quality care. Keep up the great work. I'm certain that your excellent care extended our parenting style perfectly and have been the building blocks to the brilliant little guy we have today.

  • Our child was enrolled with Childventures for 5 Years. We chose the CV program as it offered seamless before and after school care, no down time over the holidays when we didn’t have the time off. The safety and security of the facility was a big deal and the core knowledge and Montessori base was incredibly important. We also felt that moving into a play based environment after coming from such a structured and focused educational environment would have not provided the same benefit that CV offered. Ariela’s transition to elementary school was seamless. After the first couple of days at her new school the teacher had commented about how she would never had known that Ariela was not in the school from kindergarten. After meeting with Ariela’s teacher we are even more confident in the decision that we made keeping her in CV. Ariela is reading a grade and a half ahead of the rest of the class and is excelling in all subjects. She is not bored as she loves to learn and help others. We have received the recommendation to consider French Emersion to challenge her further. She has connected with most of the kids in her class and has already attended multiple birthday parties of her new friends. We believe that her ability to make new friends, transition smoothly and continue to grow, came from the foundation that she received starting back in her infant classroom. She may have been born with confidence and a caring attitude but her ability to use them and socialize with others came from her lessons at CV My advice to other parents is to understand the differences in the curriculum approach and make a decision that is best for your child. Also think about your own expectations and what you want your child to take away from their first 2 years in school.

  • My children were enrolled at Childventures for 4 years. We chose CV’s JK/SK program over the public or other private sector because the class sizes are smaller, the strong reading program and advanced curriculum content. After completing the JK/SK program their transitions to public school were smooth. I felt both my children had a strong basis to make it an easier transition for Grade 1 French. Both our CV grads have performed very well once they started Grade 1 and have continued to do so. A strong JK/SK program must have influenced their success. Both children are at the top of their class. This social aspect was my biggest concern about keeping my children at CV. However, with time they made friends in Grade 1 and have no social inhibitions. It was a bit tougher for one child over the other but after a couple of months all was great. Both children had a strong educational basis that allowed them to be successful into the elementary school environment. I strongly believe they were better prepared than students coming from the elementary kindergarten program. If you can, I highly recommend it.

  • My two children were enrolled at CV for 3 and 4 years. We had such a Positive experience throughout our time at CV that we didn't want it to end! When they started public school we quickly found the transition to be lacking in many ways mostly because of what we had become used to at CV. We pulled the girls from public school and moved them to Fern Hill Private School. They were able to quickly adapt to the academic pace at Fern Hill School. Both girls are very social with children and adults. I believe that CV over qualifies children for public school. Private school or extracurricular academic programs keep learning at the same level. CV gives children a great foundation for academic and social development. We miss the staff at CV!

  • My children were enrolled with Childventures from infant to completion of SK. We chose CV over the public or other private sector because of the smaller classroom sizes and focused attention on Montessori skills, reading/writing, mathematic development and organization of learning for young children. They both had a very easy transition to public school. They were able to sit at a desk and focus on work. They integrated well into play, language development, math and physical activity. They were ahead of other students in reading, comprehension and social development. I have been told by their current teachers that they are ahead of the class and are leaders/role models for other students. They excel in academics and sports. Childventures JK/SK program supported my children’s overall development and transition into an elementary school environment through engaging my children and providing challenges. The teachers at CV were very nurturing and supportive which was great for taking on new challenges and developing independence. My children could sit and eat their meals, get dressed on their own during winter and knew to raise their hands for help or with questions. The program encourages children to focus on work but also enjoy play time. I recommend other parents to definitely choose Childventures. The education and social support for our young children developing foundations of learning is outstanding. Both the children and parents benefit from the Childventures curriculum.

  • Our LO is 16 months old and is enrolled at the Oakville location. It's clear to see that he enjoys being there everyday just as much as we enjoy dropping him off. Doesn't matter who's at the desk when we first enter in the mornings, whether it's Kathryn, Chris or Matthew we are always greeted with smiles that are genuine and welcoming. As we make her way to his classroom we are often greeted by Victoria the preschool teacher who has stolen a piece of our little one's heart, as he runs in gives her hugs and kisses and we try to make our way to his classroom. The expression on his face is priceless as he walks pass the speciality rooms that are waiting for him to learn and explore as well as the nutritious smells wafting from the kitchen as our Chef Mirella prepares nutritious meals for the day. He often passes his own classroom to go take a peek into the toddler room where either Katie or our team mentor Janice is busily engaged with the toddlers. He presses his lips up against the see-through door as if to say "hi I'm here." Janice and Katie greets us with a welcoming smile and after some coaxing we are able to make it to his classroom where we are again welcomed by either Tania, Ashley or Kiran his teachers. I quickly steal my hugs before he runs into his classroom and embraces his peers looking ready to explore and learn for the day. I leave him knowing that he is in very capable hands where he will be able to explore, learn, manipulate, play, grow and have fun. We're very happy with the decision we've made. – Tricia

  • I just wanted to write and say, two weeks into our son attending child ventures my husband and I noticed a HUGE difference in his behaviour, manners and patience. Best of all he was potty trained in a couple short weeks! We noticed what he practised at school, he brought back to our home life. Manners at dinner table were acceptional, and patience with his little brother was phenomenal. The staff is wonderful to talk to and deal with, This was the best experience for him. It was highly recommended to me by other moms, and I will also be passing it on.

  • My daughter has been with CV since the age of 1. She started out in the infant program and is now currently thriving in the JK program. At 3 1/2 years of age she is far more advanced than I could have imagined. Keep up the great work CV!!

  • I would recommend CV to all my friends because it's so great. My son started at CV When he's 11 months old. All the teachers are very caring, nice and knowledgeable. Currently my son is in the JK/SK, he's very happy to study there.

  • We are very impressed with Child Ventures Oakville. I was nervous to leave my son to go back to work but transitioning into daycare was made so much easier by the wonderful staff and teachers. We are confident we made the right choice and see so much growth already in our son the past month he has been at Childventures. I am very happy we found Child Ventures and would recommend it to any family looking for a wonderful place for their children! Thank you to all the great staff and teachers I can't wait to see what progress our son continues to make.

  • The Chef provides delicious foods to eat and tries to provide something that Ashton will eat (he is very texture oriented and picky). They approach me to find out what his favourite foods are and try their best to ensure that he is getting what he needs throughout the day. Ella clearly loves her food and that has definitely not changed within the walls of CV.   From day one, Tania has shown my children so much love, especially Ella. I am sure that Ella's babbling after school is all about Tania because she adores her. Dropping my children off in the morning on the second day was so easy because Ashton and Ella were already comfortable with Tania, which is a testament to how amazing of a teacher she is. Both of my children are "mommy's" children and I love that either one will reach out to her when I am not with them. Kiran recently joined the infant program and Ella loves her as well. I know that she is truly herself around Kiran and Tania because she snuggles into her teachers when she is sad and is feisty when she does not want to have her face washed, just like at home.   Victoria and Tricia have taken such an interest in Ashton's accomplishments. I have seen such an amazing change in his eye contact and ability to respond to his name. Ashton has never given me a "hurry up mom" look when coming to school and I see it every morning when we arrive at the centre. He is so happy here and I know it's because of his teachers. Katie and Ashley have recently started at Childventures and they have already demonstrated so much love for all the children! They are both gentle teachers and you can see the children gravitate to them already.   It's nice to have Janice be a familiar face for Ashton since he knew her from Richmond Hill and I'm sure that his transition to Oakville was smooth because of her love for him too. Ella loves to snuggle with Janice and she lets me know how my munchkins are doing. Not only was she there to support my children, but helped to support me as well. I am so thankful for the updates during my transition back to work.   Matt and Kathryn are clearly involved with the children because both of my children look for you when we arrive in the morning or leave at the end of the day. It is to see Ashton not want to leave at the end of the day and often finds himself in either of your arms for comfort. Your support for me was endless and I truly appreciate all the support during this time.   Thank you so much to all of the Oakville staff for the love and care you have provided with us in a short period of time. My children look forward to school everyday and I can look forward to work knowing that they are well taken care of.

  • Our son is 22 months old and this is his second experience in a childcare setting. We call Ryan sunshine personified - he is a happy, smiley little guy. He is also a little guy who has had a pretty rough start to his little life. Much of his first year was spent at SickKids but he handled multiple surgeries, hospital admissions and more visits than we can count, like a champ. Every doctor, nurse, support staff always commented on how easy going and happy Ryan was. Our buttons were always bursting with pride.   Given all of Ryan's health issues, as his parents, we went through a very hard time. As his Mom, I was diagnosed with anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder. For any parent, the thought of sending your "baby" to childcare can induce an incredible amount of stress. For me, it was completely shattering. The thought of not being there to protect Ryan was always something I struggled with but like many parents, I had to go back to work.   His first daycare experience was at 15 months old at a centre that we felt confident in. Around 18 months, our happy baby disappeared. We told ourselves it was just separation anxiety, or the terrible twos coming early. At one point, we even considered taking him to his neurosurgeon at SickKids to see if something was wrong in his brain. He wasn't settling into the toddler program at his previous centre. He was crying all the time - a weepy, depressed cry. He didn't want to eat his dinner. He looked terrible.   After hearing about Childventures from a friend, I made a desperate call to Matthew at the Oakville location to see if we could set up a visit. Matthew was simply incredible. He answered my questions, took the time to listen and without even seeing Childventures, he made me want to enroll our baby. He arranged for my husband and I to do a tour the next morning. All I can say is...WOW. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we felt the magical energy that fills every aspect of Childventures. Our tour led to a lovely conversation with Kathryn who showed such empathy to the journey we have had and an afternoon visit which led to another planned visit for the following Monday. Monday arrived and our visit was going so well that we decided to leave Ryan for the day. He didn't even bat an eye when I left.   With the help of his amazing teachers - Tricia, Katie and Victoria, Ryan made an effortless integration to Childventures. Yes, he is a little teary sometimes at drop off but those tears dry up quickly as he is warmly and lovingly comforted by Tricia each morning. I then take a peek at the webcam (such an amazing feature for this anxiety prone Momma!) and see that our little man is a happy camper almost instantly. Ryan's Resource Consultant (someone from the Region of Halton who works on his developmental milestones) called me yesterday after her visit and was beyond thrilled to see Ryan happy again. We now have to revise his developmental plan because suddenly our baby is hitting every milestone. He is chatting more than ever before. Learning new words each day. And more than anything else - Ryan is truly thriving thanks to the loving care he receives at Childventures.   I like to call Childventures the Disneyland of Daycares. The beautiful centre is bright, clean and offers so much visual appeal and excitement for young minds (and adults too!). From Chris' warm smile at the front desk, to Kathryn and Matthew's generous and accommodating natures, to the lovely chef who crafts delicious and healthy meals each day and of course the teachers who not only have such a deep love and commitment to the children but clearly a true love for what they do - Childventures is Ryan's home away from home. As an anxious Momma, I can honestly say that I now love doing morning drop offs because it means I get to see a glimpse into the exciting day Ryan has planned for him. At the end of the day, I receive the most thoughtful reports that always include Ryan's WOW moment of the day - duets on the piano, dancing on bubble wrap and examining frozen plastic spiders with a magnifying glass - these reports help me feel a part of his day and are so cherished by us.   We cannot thank Childventures enough for bringing back our beautiful boy's sunshine personality and helping him find excitement in learning. This Momma has been told that I have sparkle back in my eyes and it is all thanks to Childventures.

  • My son has been with CV for more than 3 years now and my appreciation and satisfaction with the program, teachers, and staff, and the facility continues to grow. My son’s interest in activities, learning, and his creative spark has blossomed since starting this program. His teachers have always been open to feedback and are clearly dedicated to maximizing each child's potential. My son talks endlessly about his friends and teachers at CV and I am so thankful to have found a program that involves me as a parent and allows my child to explore a variety of subjects through many learning styles. We love this program and will continue to rave about our experience. We did not even have to hesitate to continue Kindergarten at this school!

  • I'm always impressed on the specific details the teachers give me every day about my children. It makes me feel like they aren't being lost in the group. My children are happy being there and that is the most important part for me. The meals they have are balanced and changed to accommodate my fussy eater. We made a great decision taking our children to Childventures!!

  • A fantastic place for childcare! The facility is new, clean, spacious and well set up with large classrooms and plenty of equipment & activities to keep little ones engaged. The administrative staff were responsive and accommodating for my unique needs. The teachers were absolutely delightful in the loving care they provided my son. We were happy to see the benefits of the Montessori style education he received here. Highly recommend over any of the other options Oakville.

  • Our 20 month old daughter has been at Childventures Burlington for 6 weeks now. The level of care provided has been amazing, which has done wonders to alleviate the stress of leaving our little girl in the care of others. Her educators go above and beyond to meet her emotional needs throughout the day, and the learning that is happening is evident to us when we peak in on her, receive pictures of her, and see her repeating what she has learned at home. We felt that Childventures was the right fit for her when we did our initial tour, and we can say now without a doubt that we made the right choice for our little girl. We would highly recommend Childventures.

  • Childventures is the best choice for my family to make for our little girl who needs some extra attention during the day. We've been in Toddler program and preschool program, have met different teachers in each program, all the teachers are awesome! They provide the same high level of care and built a great relationship with my child. They quickly respond to any inquiries/concerns and help us to deal with all the challenges (i.e: first time enrollment to daycare, drop-off time challenge, program transition and anything we need to watch for the child). It makes our family feel comfortable and safe to leave our child and go for work, they are such reliable! I see a happy girl at every day pick-ups. There are tons of good things to say about this center! We just love it so much! Thank you very much!

  • My son has been at CV for over a year, and his development has been quite rapid since he has been there. He went in with developmental challenges, and has made fast progress in all areas - speech, sensory, social skills, resiliency, empathy etc. CV has surpassed my expectations by far. They really care. And my experience with the staff has been excellent every single time. I'm thankful that my son is in such a supportive and loving environment that both nurtures and challenges him in a loving way, every day.

  • I cannot say enough great things about this school. I only wish they went past SK, but I suppose that's what makes them so good at what they do! Child Ventures has surpassed our expectations. It's the first Place I have sent my daughter where I actually felt she was safe and didn't have to call the school ten times a day! The school is fully invested in nurturing bright, motivated, empathetic young people. The staff and teachers are passionate educators who find the strengths in each child through their diverse learning programs. The community is supportive and caring. At Child Ventures, there is an emphasis on the overall child, not just academics. I feel that they have set an amazing foundation that we will continue to build.

  • Childventures Ancaster is amazing! We fell in love with it when we went to visit and couldn't be happier. It has actually far surpassed our expectations. They are so kind and caring. They truly care about the well being of my little girl. The Hi Mama app is so awesome. We get to see what she ate, toileting, pictures and activities every day. I love receiving the message from Hi Mama that something has been added. It feels like I'm part of her day. The curriculum is also fantastic. She is learning and growing each day by leaps and bounds. I wish they would expand and offer grade 1 - 8 so we could keep her there!!

  • My son was in another daycare before we began at Childventures and I can't even begin to describe the difference I saw in him right away. It was no longer a fight to get him to go, he was happy and excited to be there. Also we were a little concerned by the fact that he was still only speaking in one or two word sentences and within a month his vocabulary bloomed. It is so nice to feel completely comfortable leaving him with their warm and caring staff and knowing he is well taken care of and happy.

  • When I returned to work when our Owen was 12 months old, we were forced to find a daycare last minute. After looking at a few, an acquaintance mentioned ChildVentures to us. From the moment we walked in the door, we knew it was the one. Charlene and the infant teachers made us feel welcome and comfortable about leaving our baby. During our first visit, Owen immediately jumped into the circle of mats in the middle of the infant room and began playing. During the four and a half years since then, he has grown into a smart, funny, confident boy, who is now prepared and excited to start a new adventure in Grade 1. The CV campus is the best we have seen, the meals and snacks provided are fantastic and the teachers and staff are warm and caring. We can't say enough good things about CV and would highly recommend it to anyone. We are both sad and proud that Owen's time at CV is now over, but we are happy and excited to have Gavin starting in the infant program in the fall. We are confident that our second baby will be well taken care of and will grow and thrive at CV just as his big brother did.

  • My name is Steve M and I wanted to take a moment to thank the wonderful staff of Childventures in Ancaster. My wife and I have had the pleasure of having both our daughters go through the program in its entirety. Starting from the infant program we saw the care this staff has for all the kids who attend. Always patient, informative and compassionate. It really gave us the comfort to know our children were exposed to such a positive environment every day. Through the advancing levels the experience continued to be great. The daily curriculum and activities, excellent nutrition program, socializing with other kids and building friendships made our kids look forward to every day. The centre goes the extra mile. Holiday celebrations and special themed days were great examples of this. The communication is fantastic and they are always there to answer any questions or concerns. We kept both our girls there all the way into the kindergarten years. And we are so happy we did. The two years with that were amazing. The reading, writing, math programs, along with all the other subjects were done at such a terrific level. Our kids thrived. Childventures has simply been an amazing thing in our girls lives. We are so happy we found it and were fortunate to get them enrolled there. I would encourage any parent to consider this centre for their children. They are the best!!
