Enjoy our head chef’s healthy Shepherd’s Pie recipe at home! Your children definitely enjoyed it at school!
Ingredients
2 lbs lean ground beef
2 beef bouillon cubes or packets
1 medium onion finely diced
2 cups frozen corn
2 tbsp flour or cornstarch
2 lbs potatoes peeled and boiled
1 cup milk
2 tbsp sour cream
2 cups water
Directions
Peel and boil the potatoes. Whip them with the milk and sour cream. While the potatoes are boiling, brown the beef and onions together. Strain off the excess grease. Add the flour in mix thoroughly into the meat. Add the beef bouillon, water and corn and mix together. Place the cooked meat into a casserole dish and top with the whipped potatoes. Place the Shepherd’s pie into a preheated 350 degree F oven and bake for 30 minutes
