As part of our Free the Children project we are supporting our local food bank by gathering non-perishable food items for our annual Halloween Food Drive. The children have decorated boxes in the front foyer for your contributions. For those of you who prefer to make a monetary donation, Childventures will purchase non-perishable food items on your behalf. Last year we pledged to collect 1,000 items between all four campus locations. We surpassed that goal by collecting a total of 1,397 items! This year, we pledge to collect 1,500 items. With your help, I’m sure we can surpass that goal as well.
Our campaign this year, We Scare Hunger is made possible with the support of Help Hunger Disappear®, Campbell Canada’s national hunger awareness and food drive program. Since 2008, Help Hunger Disappear has reminded us that we can all play a part in helping the more than 900,000 Canadians who rely on their local food banks every month.
