“It is such an honour to be nominated for a prestigious and globally renowned award like the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award,” Dr. Heidary said. “I am anxiously waiting and hoping to be amongst the finalists for this award.”

In 1999, Dr. Heidery and his wife were in the market researching to find the best early learning education for their children, but couldn’t find one that met their list of criteria. He decided to take curricula of three world renowned programs and build his own centre. Childventures, initially known as Pathways, offers the best of Montessori, High Scope and Core Knowledge.

Through the Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Ernst & Young highlights Canada’s most inspiring entrepreneurial stories and the bright minds behind them. Judges evaluate the nominees on financial performance, corporate vision, leadership, innovation, personal integrity and influence, and community engagement. Finalists will be selected on July 4, 2013.
